We arrived at The City Hall Belfast on Saturday the 29th January 2011 to cover something extremely special to rugby in Ulster & particularly to rugby in COOKE RFC.
The club was celebrating the 100th year of its formal existence.
The celebration night assembled members and friends from near and far to bath in the sunshine of success.
As is the case with all clubs and associations that have survived, wars, constant financial troubles and all of the heartache of defeat, it is fitting to gather at a milestone of 100 years and consider the joy that has been experienced by many thousands of rugby players of all ages who have worn the Cooke RFC jersey.
We were honoured to be in attendance and capture with the help of Ewan Harkness photography in pictures and video interview some essence of what it means to the entire Cooke Rugby Club to have made it this far.
These are the days when people value each other and their friends and all of rugby must surely celebrate this enormous achievement. Referees included given the fact that Cooke RFC has produced more referees than any other club.
