Congratulations to Coleraine Firsts who are on their way to Ravenhill.

They will meet Donaghadee on Wednesday 28 December for the final of the Ulster Branch Junior Cup, sponsored by leading Belfast law firm, Millar McCall Wylie.

After a bruising encounter, in cold wet conditions, on Saturday 3 December, Coleraine came out on top of a 6-3 scoreline when they entertained Ballymena Seconds.

Coleraine now move to Ravenhill where they meet Donaghadee, following their 26-14 win over Portadown.

The final will probably mean the postponement of the planned Coleraine v Ballymoney league clash on Boxing Day.

Lots of people have the Boxing Day date in their Christmas event calendar but they will not be disappointed – the planned Robinson Memorial match between Coleraine Fourths and Ballymoney will be going ahead, followed by entertainment in the club – so come on down, watch the match, meet old friends and enjoy a good afternoon’s craic.

The club needs everyone to come to Ravenhill to support Coleriane’s First XV as they enjoy their first cup final in six years. At this stage it seems it may well be an evening event with kick-off at 7.30pm.

Details on transport etc for the Cup Final will be announced soon.

Watch this space for more details.
