On Saturday 24 11 12 Coleraine Rugby Club held a special pre-match lunch before the Academy match, all in aid of charity.
Special guest at the dinner was Stewart McKinney, former Irish international and British Lions player. Stewart was promoting his recently published book, “Roars from the Back of the Bus”, a selection of tales from the British Lions on tour. For Pictures of the lunch CLICK HERE
After a very enjoyable lunch, sponsored by the Love brothers, Stewart sold and signed copies of the book, much of the proceeds going to the Lions Chartable Trust, supporting and helping development of the game in the community.
Many of the 100 plus members attending the lunch were former players from the club and many old friendships were renewed before moving outside to support the Firsts as they won their game against Academy.
