Seniors Pre-Season 7s And Friendly
Service will be getting their season underway at the Ophir 7s Tournament at Magowan Park, Mallusk on Saturday 17 August from 12:00, followed by a squad game away to Lisburn RFC on Friday 30 from 19:30.
The Youth will also be entering an U17s team in the Ophir event (Friday 16 August from 19:00).
7s rugby, is traditionally, for the ‘fleet of foot’ and ‘able bodied’ members of the rugby fraternity and is an exciting way for the ‘hanky ball players’ to show off their silky skills.
The 15-man squad session at Lisburn will be played in 20 minute stages, with roll on roll off subs throughout the game. This modified game will provide a good opportunity for players to stake a claim in the 1st or 2nd XVs for the impending season, so good luck to all concerned.
Training continues on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 18:30 (on the pitch) and Saturday mornings from 11:00.
