Civil Service RFC raises over £500 for CLIC Sargent and announces their continued support for the charity during the 2010/11 season.

Civil Service has committed to wearing the CLIC Sargent logo on all of their club jerseys for the coming season. It is hoped that this will help CLIC Sargent raise its profile in Northern Ireland and help the club raise more money for the charity in 2010/11.

The club has a 1st and 2nd XV adult teams and a thriving mini rugby section. It’s with the efforts of the players, management, mini rugby parents and the clubs supporters that they were able to raise money and the profile of CLIC Sargent in the East Belfast area.

Katie Setterfield, Area Fundraising Manager from CLIC Sargent said “We welcome Civil Service RFC’s support and we’re delighted that all of their teams will carry our logo.

As the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent supports children, young people and their families during treatment, in hospital, at home and after treatment. It is only with continued support from community groups like Civil Service RFC that we can go on to help more local families in Northern Ireland.”

Club Captain, Dan Cartland said, “CLIC Sargent do great work for a cause close to all of our hearts. The club is delighted to be help in anyway we can.”
