armaghCity of Armagh Rugby Club are holding an Open Day on the 24th August to kick off the 2013-2014 season. Rugby is truly a sport for all ages,
sizes and abilities and creeds with the bonuses of fun, fitness and, best of all, friendships thrown in.
The day will include registration, from 2pm, for the Minis’ section. There will also be a BBQ commencing at 2pm and a
Seniors friendly fixture, Armagh 1sts V Clogher Valley (K.O 2.30pm).
At 4pm it will be the Ladies turn with a “Give It a Try” session, designedas an introduction to Rugby. Any girls or
women interested in giving Rugby a try would be very welcome. The session will cover Minis, aged 5-11, Under
15s and Under 18s Youth, and Senior Women’s Rugby. Each group will be led by qualified coaches and will include some Tag matches.
If numbers allow, this will be extended to youth/senior mixed Tag.
Live music and live Pig Racing will commence at 5pm.
The Club are keen to showcase what we have to offer to, not only players,
but also spectators and visitors alike. Come along to a warm welcome, new
friendships and a fun-filled day.
It is rumoured that a collection of Ulster players may even be on hand to
meet and greet any race-goers or club members who may call in to the Palace
Grounds.
