We are taking this opportunity to invite you to donate some of your hard earned cash to support City of Armagh Rugby Club past president Andrew Nesbitt and his team, including Daphne Greer and Randal McAllister as they take up their charity challenge for Save the Children.
The Cross Group Team are joining a group of friends and colleagues from Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning on a charity challenge marathon cycle in Vietnam to raise some much needed funds for Save The Children, the group will be cycling from Saigon in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia over a six day period covering a distance of 500km, this will be a massive personal challenge for all the team and the target for the group is to raise £55,000 for Save The Children, with the Cross Group goal set to raise a total of £10,000. And the good news is 100% of your generous donations will go directly to ‘Save the Children’ fund.
£580 could provide enough nutrient-rich food to help 20 children suffering from severe malnutrition
£100 could train a health worker to diagnose illnesses and treat sick children
£50 could pay for 25 blankets to keep babies suffering from deadly pneumonia warm
8.5 million children were helped directly by Save the Children in 2011
The team look forward to receiving lots of generous donations for ‘Save The Children’ from our kind friends, suppliers, customers and colleagues over the coming months and would like to thank everyone on behalf of the Cross Group and ‘Save The Children’ for all your very generous contributions.
Andrew Nesbitt – “I’m really looking forward to the adventure and the physical challenge that this experience will bring. With my training regime just starting I’m beginning to realise that I have some work to do and possibly a few pounds to lose! However I’m confident that I’ll be ready and up for “the race” with my colleagues Daphne & Randal. Our aim is to raise as much as we can collectively so please give generously for this great charity. Thank you”
Randal McAllister – “Little left to say now but time to get on with much needed training, everyone who knows me will recognise my robust stature may need to shed several pounds if I’m to make it from start to finish. So please don’t hesitate give graciously and I’ll do you proud, it’s not a race technically but who’s kidding who? Many thanks”.
Daphne Greer – “To all my potential sponsors- be assured every pound you donate will not only go to a truly worthwhile cause ‘Save the Children’ but it will also motivate me to make an extra ordinary effort to get off my seat in front of the computer and onto my bicycle seat, so please donate generously, it will be directly converted to pedal power on my behalf. The more you donate the more you will make the ‘Accountant’ sweat – a double whammy, your support is greatly appreciated”
