On Saturday Armagh travelled to Shaws Bridge to play Cooke in junior 5. The sun was low and Armagh received the kick off with it on their backs. Armagh Power NI started the game brightly with some hard running from Paul Cully and Gary Hanson. From this pressure came some good field position and eventually the try came from Robert Straghan which was unconverted.

Cooke came back hard at Armagh from the kick off and managed to turn the ball over. With some great defence from Rory Hannah and Andy Fletcher Armagh got back possession and managed to create another try scoring chance which was only thwarted by the touch line. Armagh counter rucked well at the resulting line out and got a scrum on the five metre line. From here Captain Chris Wallace picked from the back and drove over to score out wide.

Again the floodgates opened and Armagh pushed again with some great hands from Hamilton, Knipe and Allen making room for Straghan getting his second of the day. Hamilton converted. With Armagh playing some great rugby and newcomer Shea Hearney marshalling the pack well another score came from Straghan following some good hands from Laverty and Beckett.

In the last few minutes Adam Brennan got his name on the score sheet after some great work from Dave Black in the loose. This was another good win away from home for Armagh but the young and pacy side have a lot to work on.
