Comprehensive, clinical and very astute in all facets of the game, such is the coaching and such is the ability when Armagh U13s put on the club and county jersey. Playing against opposition from across Ulster and Ireland the U13s play @ City OF Armagh RFC and are coached by a team of up to 24 coaches across their youth rugby journey. Starting at the mini level the club welcomes new players to the rugby family at all levels from mini through to u13, u15, u17 and u19, progressing then to the senior levels. Both male and female players enjoy the game and are proud to be part of one of the best rugby clubs in Ireland.
Saturday’s game was ferocious and fast, very very fast! The city Of Armagh U13s emerged victorious because of a brand of rugby that values above all else the core principles of City Of Armagh RFC which are teamwork, respect for themselves, each other and the opposition. The application of the basics at ruck time defensive tackling around the legs, scrum focus, body position, and when the centres & backs get the ball then its explosive split second off loads and passes and cutting lines through defenders that will literally take your breath away!

Organized, and will take on any side in Ulster, which is a mentality that runs through City of Armagh RFC. One of the club mottos is “Be You Faithful”
to your club. Teamwork is cherished and the U15s utilised this perfectly on Saturday past in comprehensive display of forward power and successfully carrying out phase play back and forth across the park that knew only one direction to take play and that was across the whitewash. Centres, backs cutting lines, forwards bursting through people and over the top of them and then getting the offload away in that split second opportunity. The timing was impeccable. Drawing players from across the proud sporting county of Armagh the rugby club is one of the finest in Ireland and is built on the sheer enjoyment of the game.
Preparations for Saturday’s game started at the weekly training sessions and included the expert strategy and game plans drawn up by the coaching professionals at the club and built on well over 120 years of the game.
Consequently the fit, and very talented squad of exciting rugby players took to the park and thoroughly enjoyed the full contact nature of the sport throughout a superb day.
