With neither the 1st XV nor 2nd XV having fixtures, Carrick III took centre stage on Saturday 28 January and recorded a comprehensive 31 points to nil victory over Portadown IV at Tom Simms Memorial Park. The 5th XV travelled to Coleraine and beat UUC II by 36 points to 5 in the McCambley Cup.
