Teams competing were – Academy, harbury, Telford college, Ulster Exiles, Tropic Thunder, Lisburn, Warriors, Lisburn Lions, BHSFP, Carrickfergus, Portobello Playboys, Simply Class, Down Exiles, Tiger Blood, Kaviti Warriors, Ballyclare, “Reckin” Boys, Newcastle Exiles, CIYMS, PSNI, Wigtownshire, Reapers, Forrester, Carrick Cobras.
WHAT A DAY, a totally cliudless sky, 1,000s of rugby friends, 42 teams! KO at 12 noon and rugby right through to 4ish. From the fun rugby teams just here to enjoy a weekend to the more serious contenders who still had a total ball.
What an event the Carrick 7s truly is and the organisation is second to none, exemplary by Carrick rugby. Again we wish the young man badly injured on Friday night a speedy recovery.
The standard today was excellent and we have video footage to follow from throughout the day and quite a bit from all the semis and finals.
The crowds were entertained by alot of thrilling encounters and the finals were excellent.
