The Ireland Deaf rugby team is in its infancy and needs new players urgently to compete in an international game against England in Belfast!

This amazing intiative comes hot on the heels of several other countries froming their own deaf and hard of hearing teams. Wales deaf, England deaf, New Zealand deaf, Australia deaf, and Japan deaf.

Ireland now has a group in place who are in the early stages of organising a game against Engalnd! In Belfast No Less. Taking place around the same time as the Six Nations it will see a combined Ireland / Scotland side take on England. This is why help needes to spread the word and get more people involved!

Hopefully this story will spread the word to everyone in Ulster to get involved.

Everyone who is deaf or hard of hearing and playing for their local club, contact Christopher Wightman at their facebook page.

They are close to making this happen so that last bit of help would be amazing, and InTouch Rugby on hand of course to document the game in photos.

If you know of anybody who’s deaf/hard of hearing in North of Ireland and South of Ireland it would be really appreciated if you could pass on the message.
