UUC RFC POWER NI 2nd XV League Champs 2012-13
To help in the celebrations of the league title there will be a celebration in the SCR from 3.30pm a fun game of touch for one and all at 2pm. It promises to be a bit of craic so if you were for the game on Saturday please do join us up in the SCR for sandwiches and drinks. Everyone is more than welcome and we hope to see you there….
Winners Report
Confirmation has arrived that Civil Service 2’s will not field a side against the Power Ni 2’s this Saturday handing the lads a well deserved League Title. The first of which for a 2’s team in nearly 40 years, that is 2 league titles for the club in 2 years a massive achievement and shows how the club is now growing in depth and talent. It will not be wrong to suggest that this capable and talented group of players will be looking towards winning Junior 5 next year! As this team is vastly made up of freshers this makes the next few years a very interesting challenge indeed.
The club would like to thank Alan McCully and Nigel Irwin for their long years of servitude towards helping the seconds achieve success this year.
So well done David McMenemy (Capt.) and Chris Elliott (Vice. Capt.) you now go down in UUC RFC history as league winning captains. And a special thanks to every player who helped make this year a real success. Next up for the 2’s is the draw for the Harding Cup so hold on to your hats boys and girls the rugby isn’t over just yet!
