Instonians Rugby Club wishes to appoint a Club Community Rugby Officer – DEADLINE 19th of July

Purpose: To assist in meeting our Youth Development Strategy and associated goals. The person appointed will have as their main priorities delivering an introduction to rugby programme in local schools and the community and the recruitment of players from a diverse range of backgrounds in the age range 11-13 years. In particular he/she will work in targeted primary/secondary schools and offer an outreach programme in them. These schools are likely to be in the South and West Belfast areas and will build on work already commenced in the 2012/13 season. He/she will assist the Under 13 coach on club coaching nights and attend appropriate youth games on a Saturday.
Working 16 hours per week in period mid-August–mid- March:
Most sessions will be in the outreach programme to schools with 1 session at club coaching and 1 session on match day.
Duration of Contract:
Two years, subject to 3 months’ probation period and renewal each year.
