NAME:: Tommy Johnston

DOB:: 3 days younger than John Balmer. Nuff said!

Height: 6 feet and a wee bit

Weight:: 12 st. 35 lb (and for the young ones there’s 14 lb in a st.)

Position:: utility second row/water boy

Club:: BHS FP RFC balls to Carrick!!!

Honours:: 2 XV player of the year at the age of 45.

When did you first start playing rugby?
1977 in first year at Carrick Grammar!! First years were spent on the wing but that’s where you were always put to make sure you didn’t get much ball when you were crap. Isn’t that right Willie??

Did you play any other sports growing up? Can’t remember!

What is your greatest rugby moment?
Got to be being in lansdowne road when ulster won the 1999 European cup. Playing wise, did I mention the two tries I scored in coleraine last season?
