Unlike the first game High School started strongly scoring after 5 mins when Joel McBride went in, in the left corner, Robbie Reid missed from the touchline for the extras. This certainly lifted BHS to press at every opportunity and went on to dominate most areas of the game. This domination lead to BHS’s second try scored by Adam White, again close to left touchline and into a very strong wind Robbie Reid struck a great conversion that went in of the right hand post. H/T 12 – 0 to BHS. With the wind at there backs BHS pressed knowing that they had the release of the wind if they were under pressure but it was only the rare occasion that RSD go into the danger area and instead BHS No.10 McBride used it to pin them back in their 22 area. With the pressure mounting again it was Adam White that crossed the line for BHS after good inter passing between forwards and backs which Reid converted, 19 – 0 BHS. Again unlike Saturday the BHS lineout was working well with Isaac Edwards & Lewis Benson jumping well and it was from a stolen line by Benson that the next try was scored, when winger Matty Connolly went over the line and again Reid added the extras to make it 26 – 0 and the game as a contest was over. BHS added two more try’s and a penalty to close out the game, the first again from Connolly after great work by Ulster U18 Jordan Garford. Then the penalty from Reid and the last and the best from sub. Darren Scott, after a great drive by the BHS forwards Reid broke of the back popped a great ball to Scott who zipped over untouched. BHS will be happy with the 39 – 0 result and performance going into the fourth round fixture away to Bangor.
