BHS 7 V RSA 50
Royal School Armagh proved to strong for a young BHS side fielding nine 5th years in the team. The back line for BHS struggled to cope with the free running and off loading of the RSA back line which was pleasing to watch. The first two try’s for RSA where breaks on the blind side from the base of scrums the first from RSA No.7 Hooks, who had a strong game. High School had a couple of chances to close the score with penalties in the first half but choose to kick to touch which failed to reap any rewards.CLICK HERE FOR 50+ Pictures (kindly taken and donated by Gary Benson) RSA centre Ewart was a thorn in BHS’s side from the start with two try’s to show for his efforts. The forward battle was pretty much even with both sides being strong on their scrums and after a stuttering start High School eventually got their lineout together to gain some parity.BHS’s only score was made when the ball was passed along the line to High Schools second row Benson who showed good hands to draw two tacklers before releasing Mat Connolly who showed strong running to make it to the line. The conversion was made by BHS’s No.10 Reid. RSA’s No.10 Wright also had a decent day with the boot kicking well for his points. There was also a brace of try’s for RSA Capt. Reaney who also had a strong game. So RSA deserved winners thanks to a wonderful display from there backs. High School will look to the future with their young side with the view to having strong seasons to come.
