Banbridge won 29 V 26 with the last kick of the ball from a pen. Banbridge were the better side on the day but were aided by a very poor performance by BHS. High School made an unrecordable amount of basic mistakes in defence and handling and paid the price. Banbridge scored a couple of good try’s the first from a brake on the blind side of a scrum and went in, in the corner. BHS’s best score of the day was scored by winger Mat Connelly who cut a great line to score near the posts which was converted to tie the match at 26 – 26. High School had their chances to win the match but failed when the final pass was judged forward and when Bainbridge’s scrum-half converted a pen awarded in the last play to lead 29 – 26 the final whistle was blown.
