Banbridge returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 27 – 6 bonus point victory over Bective Rangers.
The 2nds won at home against City of Derry 2nds.
The 5th XV progressed to the 2nd round of the McCambley Cup with a 62 – 10 victory over Holywood 3rds. John Haughey got four tries and Jacko got three. The penalty try awarded when Jacko was fouled on his way to the line is being given as a team effort so it remains at three.
Best wishes to Matthew Livingstone who was injured and was kept in the RVH overnight. Heres hoping for a speedy recovery and thanks to the Holywood players who assisted until the arrival of the ambulance. Matthew was released on Sunday but for him the season is over. Doctor’s orders are no contact sports for 6 months.
The Under 19’s lost their first game of the season at Larne in a tight 24 – 20 defeat.
