Action from the first half of Thursday night’s Kukri QL1 game at Upritchard Park between Bangor and Ballymoney shows the Bangor pack pressing hard near the Ballymoney goal line. In a very competitive game, Ballymoney took an eighth minute lead with a penalty goal. The visitors looked dangerous on the break, but it took until the thirtieth minute for Ballymoney to cross the line, and they did so minutes later with a second try to extend their lead to 17-0. A late third try by the visitors took the half time score to 22-0. The second half remained scoreless until Rob McCausland was put in for a try from close in with ten minutes remaining. A late Ballymoney penalty goal left the final score 25-5 to the visitors.
