This weekend, perennial tourists, The Blue Sox will once again departed Banbridge, this time travelling to Yorkshire to take on West Park Leeds RUFC.
West Park Leeds RUFC, based in Bramhope, north of Leeds, field 5 adult teams, 2 ladies teams, girls and boys youth and mini teams.
West Park provided England International Danny Care with his first experience of rugby when he started in the clubs mini section at the age of six. But perhaps their most well known club member is West Park’s U11 Assistant Coach, Stuart Lancaster, who spends his spare time coaching England.
West Park undertook significant development of their grounds in 2007 and now enjoy some of the best facilities in England.
The Blue Sox will face the West Park Warriors (3rds) on Saturday, ko 3pm, and can look forward to ‘a real West Yorkshire welcome.’
