Donegal Town’s Q3 league experience was the difference between the two sides in a cracking match played at the Holmes today.
Donegal threatened to expose a young Ballyshanonn side right from the start as they went into an early lead but the Ballyshanonn lads stuck to their task admirably and should feel very proud of their performance, albeit for some inexperience this game could of had a different outcome.
Both sides emptied their benches to give everyone a game and the quality of the rugby played was testament to both clubs.
Ballyshannon will earnestly await the return of club captain Darragh Tyrell and assistant coach James Donnell from injury to bolster an already strong squad and will relish the kick off of the league on September 14th.
