The 2013 Evergreens entertained the only unbeaten team in the League on Saturday and things looked ominous when Malone turned up with a full coaching and back up team and were on the pitch going through a repertoire of attacking and defensive drills for an hour before kick-off.
To the surprise of the home side, the men from the Cregagh would not agree to rolling subs so the Evergreens game plan had to be amended and penalty kicks were reinstated as an option if required, only for the second time this season. Hugh Thoroughbred reports from Gibson Park
With Malone 1st and 2nd XVs without a game it was with a certain amount of apprehension that Ballynahinch Sixes entered the gates of Gibson Park on Saturday afternoon, on a near perfect day for rugby.
