Ballynahinch welcomed league leaders Clontarf to Ballymacarn Park on Saturday for what was the first ever meeting between the two clubs. The Dubliners have been in impressive form this season and a tough encounter was guaranteed.
In bitterly cold but dry conditions the Hinch played towards the Clubhouse, with the elements at their backs in the first half.

Ballynahinch were hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday after failing to register a win in either of their last two outings. A much changed side took to the field at Rifle Park with a number of individuals forced in to action in unfamiliar positions. They got the start they wanted when a long kick from Matthew Norton found space behind the Banbridge defensive line, a fortuitous bounce saw the kick land back in the grateful arms of Norton who offloaded to the onrushing Matthew McDowell he in turn found Sam Seymour who had the gas to touch down in the corner.
