Come N Have Sum, YEOWWW, AGGHHHHHHH, all the words in the world cannot describe what a provincial turning point in history this is. This is how good Ballynahinch rugby are and all of Ulster Rugby are lifted by this achievement. This is literally only the beginning but like Roger Bannister breaking the mile time speed barrier these guys are the inspiration that all of us are proud to follow, support, and publicise. Ballynahinch will now trail blaze to the top of 1A such is the skill, tenacity and level headed application of the basics that they espouse. During the boom days of economic plenty Ballynahinch showed what they could do in that season when they won everything and now in the lean economic times they show that this is nothing to do with recession or economic boom, this is a group of the highest calibre rugby players playing to their potential and dealing with the pressures of top flight rugby and the experience that the club and players bring to their game is top flight. The Boyzzzzz, proud to support you.

“Ballynahinch became the first Ulster club to make it to the top flight of Irish club rugby with a magnificent controlled display against Buccaneers at Ballymacarn Park. The initials NS are embroidered on the sleeve of the Hinch jersey and club captain Chris Stevenson said after the match, “A number of us have been talking all week about this game, and how much it would mean for the club, and how much it would mean to us as a squad to honour Nevin’s name and also Graham and Noel. A few of us have been talking and Nev has been in our thoughts quite a bit this week, and I am absolutely delighted with the way the boys performed, it is just reward for all the hard work which had been put in both on and off the field.”
Playing away from the clubhouse the Hinch opened the scoring in the 3rd minute when Rodger McBruney proved unstoppable as he smashed his way down the right wing, passing to Adam Craig who continued the attack McBurney took the return pass to cross in the corner. Adam Craig added the extras to take the Hinch 7 points clear”…….. CLICK HERE for the full story
