On Friday the 10th Ulster Rugby held their annual Awards Night. This year they were held before and after the final game at Ravenhill, the Pro 12 semi-final play-off against Scarlets.
Domestic rugby was the feature in the first half of the evening with invited guests sitting down to a meal in the Aquinas Grammar School beside Ravenhill.
The first award of the evening was the Ulster Youth Player of the Year Award. This award is presented to the most outstanding and talented Youth Player of the season and the winner was, Luke Lewis of Ballynahinch. Luke’s citation read, “Luke Lewis is a great ball carrying prop forward with tremendous power and strength. Lewis can play on either side of the scrum which makes him a valuable asset to the Ballynahinch Squad.
