Three past Ballymoney 1st XV players all started in Ballymena’s 1st XV AIL away win to UCC last Saturday 1st October.
James Carson is in his 3rd season at Ballymoney RFC and has been a stalward in the front row at Eden Park since he joined. On his first season he won most improved player and since then been awarded the vice captaincy and has Captained the team on several occassions.
Like James, Martin Irwin has been a regular in the 10 and 12 shirt. Martin played for Ballymoney right through the mini section, youth section and made his debut at 18 for the 1st XV. He is now in his second season at the club and has carried on the reputation of a physcial and hard working 10 he gained in the Qualifying league with Ballymoney.
Aidy Graham started last Saturday at second row for Ballymena 1st XV in this his first season with the club. Like James Carson was a past club captain at Ballymoney. He aslo captained Junior Ulster and played for Ballymoney 1st XV for 7 seasons, winning qualifying league 3, league 2, Gordon West Cup and Towns Cup.
