A much changed Ballymena team from last week notched up its first Ulster League victory of the season with a convincing win over Instonians, beating them by 29 points to nil. The margin of victory does not reflect the Ballymena dominance and a number of good chances were squandered by poor finishing. Hughes, Mulholland, McKay and A Smyth all scored tries, with Timmy Small doing the necessary with the boot. The seconds beat their Inst counterparts by the same score earlier on the same pitch.
