With the last kick of the game Rory Drysdale had a long range shot at goal to pull off an unlikely win at a rainswept Judge’s Road against a determined Derry XV, which dominated enough of the game to deserve this narrow victory. Both teams scored two tries and kicked a penalty; Ballymena’s tries were by Michael Entwhistle and Conor Smyth. In an early kick off, the 2nd XV had a convincing win by 45 points to 5 over their Derry counterparts.
