Ballymena secured a place in the semi final of the Towns Cup with a convincing win against neighbours, Ballymoney. The final score of 39-12 is a fair reflection of Ballymena’s dominance in all areas of the game. The draw for the semi-final will be made on Monday, and will be posted here.

Forster Cup – Fourths through to Semi Final

The Fourths also secured a semi final berth in rheir cup competition by defeating Lisburn 27-12 in the quarters of the Forster Cup. They will meet Monaghan at home in the semi final on 22nd March.

Great Victory for Under 17s

Ballymena Under 17s headed off 730am on Saturday morning for the long journey to table topping Virginia. The 17s have been hampered with a lack of training and matches due to the bad weather, however they left determined to push themselves into one of the League play off places. He was held up just short of the line but managed to get the ball to Rock who drove strongly to score under the posts. Matthew Banks the 17s head coach was delighted with the win. ‘Having played so little rugby in the past few weeks it was essential to come back with a win.”
