Holm, the company behind the award-winning Readers Park housing development at Rashee Road, Ballyclare and the Ballyclare Relief Road scheme, will sponsor Ballyclare RFC senior section, and will continue to support the 250 strong mini rugby section which involves kids from P1-P7.
The company’s generous sponsorship package will also help the club continue to meet the demands of senior rugby while nurturing the mini and youth sections at The Cloughan. Player development is key at Ballyclare RFC and this support will enable the club to expand on its 30 qualified mini rugby coaches, 10 youth coaches and 4 senior coaches to develop players who come to the club from Ballyclare, Newtownabbey, Antrim, Templepatrick and Larne.
Speaking at the handover ceremony Kevin Lynch said: “We are tremendously excited to be involved with Ballyclare Rugby Football Club and to support their ambitious plans to develop the sport at all levels across the borough. The hard work of the club and its coaches in getting young people involved in sport has been a credit to the town over many years and we hope that our new partnership will help the success of that work continue in the coming Season.”
Ballyclare President Willie Shaw said: “I would like to thank Kevin for his continued support and everyone at the club are delighted that Holm NI has come on board as sponsors of Ballyclare Rugby Football Club. Their generous funding package will allow us to continue to expand the club and offer sporting opportunities to everyone from the P1 kid who comes every Saturday morning to the veterans who still run out on Saturday afternoon.”
