Michael Dougan, Chain Reaction Cycles and Allistair Lindsay, Ballyclare RFC Chairman presented the Ballyclare RFC 2012 bike ballot to Joanne Robinson. The Vitus road bike was kindly donated by Chain Reaction Cycles and raised funds to assist the club to continue to provide access to sport to all the community.

The 2011-12 rugby season saw the start of a new partnership in sport between Ballyclare RFC and Newtownabbey Racers. A coach from the rugby club was kindly invited by the racers to provide an introduction to rugby. A group of enthusiastic athletes from the racers took part in rugby games during evenings at Racers meetings at The Valley Leisure Centre. Following on from this the Racers attended an end of season fun day at the Rugby club. The sports partnership will be continuing this year with more sporting activity between the two clubs planned for the coming season.
