Ballyclare RFC 1st XV & 2nd XV played Coleraine RFC 1st XV & 2nd XV at The Cloughan on Saturday 28th August 2010.
The 1st League games will take place this weekend and this game from last weekend represented a full training game for the teams in their preparations for various league and cup campaigns.
A resurgent and strong Coleraine 1’s pack with Jarleth Carey set a blistering pace throughout the game to be matched only be excellent defense by a brave Ballyclare 1’s putting in some superb hits and threatening to win the game by a big margin on several occasions.
The games were excellent to watch with both sides using these pre-season games to try out personnel and tactics.
Both teams have work to do, both have areas they wish to improve, both sides will take alot of positives from their performances.
This weekends encounters will provide a real snapshot across rugby from Ail, to Q 1 2 and 3, to Ulster Rugby playing Ospreys – Magic!
