Are you starting studying at UUJ this month and played Rugby at School or College, if so make sure you speak to members of UUJ Rugby Club at the Freshers Fair on the 24th Sept.
UUJ Rugby were promoted into the SSI ((Student Sport Ireland) “Div 2” All Ireland Colleges League at the end if a very successful 2014/15 season.
They will be contesting in this league as well as the Provincial League in Ulster.
Matches are played on Wednesdays.
Players can play for their clubs as well as the University and those not attached to clubs can be given advice regarding joining local clubs based on their assessed abilities by the Management staff.
This season UUJ Rugby probably has the most successful and experienced management team in Ulster Club Rugby, between them they have won 20 Leagues, 6 Cups and 8 Tournaments.
The Clubs players range from All Ireland Club players to those wanting to learn the game and enjoy the few years of University sport. Remember you can play club Rugby at any stage of your life but only have a few years to experience the fun and competition of University Rugby!
The Management team coach at Rugby Clubs and appreciate the required time and energy to play both Club and University Rugby. they are also experienced in coaching the Ulster Branch “Elite Development” squads for clubs and schools players as well as the Ulster Academy. All coaches have experience in coaching at other clubs so bring a wealth of knowledge to UUJ Rugby.
