Aggressive attacking rugby key to emphatic victory for Armoy 62-3
After last weeks disappointing display at Randalstown there was a renewed vigour at training last Wednesday evening as every player knew that they had underperformed and were keen to put this right. This added vigour was also evident on Saturday when the P.S.N.I came calling to Lime Park .
Armoy put in a display of expansive attacking rugby keeping the ball alive with some great off loads out of the contact and some great support play.
This was a completely different performance than off late with the team playing as a unit rather than a group of 15 individuals as has been evident in other matches this season.
The back line functioned impeccably ,lead by the half back team of Eoin Scullion and Scott Moffat who are forming a formidable partnership and between them they dictated the play with some incisive running and back line moves straight off the training ground.
The forwards played as a unit securing ruck ball and also stealing possession at scrum and lineout time. With Mickey McGaughey putting in an exemplary show at no 8 in particular (though this may have been to impress his girl friend who was watching in the stand)………. see more at :- http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/armoyrfc/news/psni-no-match-for-armoy-1322288.html
