With the festive season now upon us, the fixture list is likely to become a bit erratic as fixture secretaries try and reschedule postponed games from the last number of weeks. This is not any easy task, for what might suit one club, may not suit another and their may be occasions when a game will be organised at short notice with little or no advance warning.
Along with all the other clubs, Ards have a number of games to reschedule and one or two of these may be played over the Christmas period, if agreement can be reached between clubs.
Seasons Greetings
Ards RFC President Reggie Haddock would like to thank everyone for all their support during a very difficult and traumatic first half of the season.
The passing of our good friend and head coach Cois Beukes had a devastating effect on all who knew him and he would particularly like to pass on his best wishes to Cois wife Rachel and young daughter Naomi, at this time.
He would also like to extend season’s greetings to all our sponsors, members, friends and supporters of Ards RFC and hope for a buoyant and prosperous 2011 for all.

Ladies
Ards Ladies have been toiling away under the stewardship of Ross Reid ably assisted by Ian Caughey, and hope to be in a position soon to make an announcement on their first game early in the New Year.
This will be a huge milestone for the club and for the Ladies section in particular and hopefully get the girls on the rugby map and encourage more participation from the ‘fairer sex.’
Well done to everyone for turning up at training on these cold wintery nights, and lets continue to build towards your first game soon.

Social
The teams Christmas dinner went down a treat on Saturday night and credit must go to the caterer Mark Robinson and his staff for putting on an excellent meal.
The Minis Christmas party also went very well at a packed Movieland cinema in Newtownards on Sunday. Thanks once again are extended to Ian Caughey.
Exiles
This season’s annual Exiles game will take place at Hamilton Park on Saturday 1st January and has a 2.30pm kick-off time. Stew and mulled wine will be on offer for everyone to help keep out the winter chill.

The Minis are now enjoying a well earned break but will return to training on Saturday 2nd January at 2pm. Their first opponents in the New Year will be away to Holywood on Saturday 8th January with a 2pm start time.
