On Sunday 29 April, Ards RFC hosted their Annual Mini Rugby Festival at Hamilton Park, Newtownards. Over 600 participants took part representing
Clubs from Ards, Bangor, CIYMS, Cooke, Donaghadee, Holywood, Lisburn and Malone, in arguably the largest single Mini Rugby event staged under the
IRFU banner this season.
As well as rugby on display, there were stalls selling a variety of hot and cold snacks and drinks and bouncy castles. All the participants received a
medal for their endeavors on the day.
This was a mammoth undertaking promoting rugby at Grass Roots level with such an extravaganza and credit must go to Ian Caughey, the Mini Rugby
Co-ordinator at Ards and his team for putting on such an excellent display.
