The Ladies School Blitz will be played this year at Hamilton Park on Wed 29th Feb.
Come along and support the ladies from local schools compete in an Ulster Branch blitz, from 2pm.
The mini section hosted Malone on Sunday with over 200 kids from P3 – P7 playing rugby.
All the kids played well and there was some great talent on show. In recent weeks there have been new players to several of the age groups at Ards…all are welcome and hopefully they will enjoy their rugby at Ards.
Next week there is training as usual and why not watch the Ireland v France match in the club afterwards.

Lurgan 19 vs 28 Ards
Ards v Lurgan
19s work hard for a win
Ards under 19s traveled to Lurgan for the first match of four in a punishing eleven days.
The match started with the home side putting pressure on via their pack from the start. Working in pods they moved up the pitch with ease Ards looked as if they were still in the changing room.
The home side worked the ball well through the phases and combined forwards and backs to go over in the first five mins. The extra two was added and Ards realised they had to start playing.
From the restart it was a different story both sides competed well and it was Ards who started to come out on top Ards got the score they needed and also add a penalty from the boot of Jordan De Pledge. Lurgan came back with a score of there own giving a half time score of 12-10 to Lurgan.
The second half saw Ards dominate the first 10 mins with them getting a penalty to make it 12-13
After the restart Lurgan came back with great forward play which saw them camped on the Ards try line for what seemed an age. Two tries were held up and a string of scrums saw the Ards defence strained, the score came but Lurgan suffered with some savage tackling depleting their ranks by three and only having two subs. 19-13.
Ards now came back with forwards creating the platform and the backs making ground, Josh Fleming was unlucky not to score and also Danny Smyth. But Ards kept their heads and worked the moves this saw Adam Baird go over twice another penalty followed as Lurgan flagged which saw Ards take the match 19-28.
