I’ve played for Antrim for the last two years.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment has to be being named captain for this season. Followed closely by my try from the half way line, something a certain back couldn’t do at queens – Mr David McKee.
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
Has to be when I injured my knee and let out a tiny scream. But what we have to remember is a knee is a serious injury not like a wee nick on the chin or bruised ribs David Thompson / Michael Duncan!!!! (PS the photo is of THE moment)
BEST PLAYER YOU HAVE PLAYED ALONGSIDE AT ANTRIM RFC?
Played with a lot of good players in Antrim but for me Ricky Robinson doesn’t moan or complain just hits people and gets on with it.
FUNNIEST MOMENT AT THE CLUB?
Watching the UUC game and Gary Walker passed inside our own 22. You could of swore he closed his eyes turned his back and said god give me a hand here. Needless to say it went nowhere near Toby at fly half.
FAVE ALL-TIME INTERNATIONAL RUGBY STAR?
Scott Quinnell, I thought he was an awesome player. When he had the ball in hand he was unstoppable, big unit and quick as well.
IF YOU COULD TRY ANY OTHER POSITION ON THE PITCH?
I have always had a temptation to play 12 for one reason only the crash ball!!!! If I did play there I would probably see a lot of ball with Gary’s looping passes missing Toby at 10.
A RANDOM FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
Random fact…. I had a superstition of eating a Nelson’s bap before every game because every time I did we won!!
