A fantastic day at City of Derry RFC and very well organised by the club with the support of the Referees. Creggs RFC from Connacht and Ballymoney, City of Derry x 2, Omagh, Enniskillen, Limavady, UUC and Coleraine RFC competed in 2 groups 1 of 4 teams and 1 of 5 teams. The teams played 2 10 or 13 minute halves depending on the group as one had 5 teams and one had 4 teams which meant that teams played the same game time during the course of their group. The standard from these teams was excellent although all would be first to say that this preseason format is excellent as it affords the players invaluable competitive game time in prep for the new season although there is also that opportunity for preseason silverware.
All the teams played well and a good gathering of supporters were there to support the teams.
