The Island of Ireland looks set to be represented in South Africa this summer after all! Our adopted seafarer, Captain Morgan, has officially launched the search for a captain and 3 crew members to represent their country in the Captain’s Cup finals in South Africa this July. The Captain’s Cup will see 10 countries battle it out through a series of challenges to win with the coveted title. Budding Captain’s and their crews can visit the Captain Morgan Ireland Facebook page from today to qualify.
So, what will it take to win? Prowess, skill, agility and determination? Yes! But most important of all the party legend Captain Morgan, is looking for fun loving, outgoing and charismatic legends-in-training from 10 countries across the world including Ireland, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, Denmark, Austria, Colombia & South Africa.
The Captain commented, “My Morganettes and I already have 36,000 fans on the Captain Morgan Ireland Facebook page and I’ve no doubt there’s a Captain amongst them. My friends from Ireland love to compete and relish a challenge – so the Captains Cup is the perfect storm, ha ha! Perhaps the Irish captain and crew will be the ones to bring my trophy home.
Competitors who wish to travel with Captain Morgan for the Finals in South Africa must first complete some fun and quirky challenges online via Facebook to make it to the National Finals – a legendary party night taking place in Dublin this May.
At the National Finals one lucky winner and a team of three friends will be crowned the National Champions and will go on to ‘Captain their Country’ in South Africa in a fun-filled all expenses paid week with The Captain himself that will take in activities and challenges from Johannesburg to Durban.
The contest is open to everyone above legal drinking age and the exciting challenges conducted via Captain Morgan Ireland Facebook fanpage require fun-loving people who have a passion for adventure, a little creativity, and a winning spirit!
Captain’s Cup is open for captains-in-training from 8th April on www.facebook.com/captainmorganireland
