Bears Travel to Letterkenny
A beautiful morning on Sunday and the Bears gathered to travel to the Errigal Eagles blitz day. The Ulster Rugby Team bus pulled up and after a quick photo with their sponsor for the day M Clarke & Sons of Portglenone who kindly funded the Bears travel arrangements, the teams from both Ballymena and Ballyclare set off for Letterkenny RFC.
Just under two hours later after travelling in style with the Hares, the teams arrived and the Bears split into their two teams to begin warming up. Under ideal rugby conditions, the Big Bears were in prominent form winning matches against the Hares, Eagles and Taggers. The Bear Cubs also in good form, played 3 matches with everyone enjoying the competition and sunny weather.
With rugby all played it was in to the new facilities of Letterkney RFC for some wonderful catering by the mums of the Errigal Eagles. Sandwiches, juice and cake taken the teams moved back to the coach to travel home enjoying once again the experience of travelling in the same seats as their heroes from Ulster Rugby.
