WASPS PASS 17,000 TICKET MILESTONE FOR FIRST GAME AT RICOH ARENA
Wasps have today announced that it has passed the 17,000 ticket mark for the Club’s first game at the Ricoh Arena, more than double its record crowd so far this season. The Club’s opening game at their new home will be their Aviva Premiership Rugby clash against London Irish on Sunday 21st December.
Tickets for Wasps first match are available from just £15. Entrance for under ten year olds is free if accompanied by a paying adult. Coventry Passport for Leisure and Learning cardholders can purchase tickets for just £8.
Wasps fly-half Andy Goode, who started playing rugby at the age of five at Barkers’ Butts RFC, Coventry, said:
“As someone who grew up in Coventry, the prospect of playing in front of a packed Ricoh Arena for our first game is massively exciting – this is a childhood dream come true. We’ve still got two important games before we play there, but there’s a real buzz around the squad and we just can’t wait to get out there on December 21st and put on a show. We hope Wasps supporters turn up the volume and create a match day atmosphere that will live long in the memory.”
