Huddersfield Giants and Kooga announce three more seasons
Huddersfield Giants have re-signed with leading rugby kit manufacturer Kooga the rights to supply all playing kit, replicas and training wear for a further three seasons.
Manchester-based rugby kit manufacturer, Kooga has supplied the rugby league club for the last seven years and the deal represents a record level of investment into the Giants, coming off the back of the club’s best retail performance in the Super League era.
Kooga, the authentic rugby brand, already supplies kits to some of the biggest clubs in rugby league and union in the UK and will continue to supply Huddersfield Giants until 2017. The Giants now have one more piece of business settled off the field, as they look ahead to build on a successful, yet disappointing 2014 season.
Andrew Ronnie, Kooga Managing Director, commented: “We are delighted to be continuing the successful partnership we have built with Huddersfield Giants over the past seven years, who have great credibility and similar values to ourselves. Huddersfield Giants are one of the most recognised, authentic names in the world of rugby league, the relationship is a perfect fit for Kooga with our strong heritage in the sport.”
Kooga is the authentic rugby brand that strives to meet the demanding needs of players at all levels of the game. Huddersfield Giants joins the likes of the Scarlets, Worcester, Gloucester and Yorkshire Carnegie who have all committed to working with Kooga, which is a testament to the quality of the clothing.
Commenting on the news, Huddersfield Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said: “We went out into the marketplace for kit manufacturers and had a plethora of offers and tenders to look at from suppliers of differing sizes. At the end of the process the recommendation to continue with Kooga was an easy decision to reach as they comfortably presented the best case for the club. Their supply record to us is excellent and their staff always go the extra mile for us. They have increased their investment in us to record levels and all here look forward to a successful continuation of our partnership.”
