NEWRY welcomed Civil Service first 15 to Telford Park for their opening game of the season, writes Fearghal Lewis.
Having lost out on a final spot the previous season by a single point, Newry have set themselves a target of making up for there mistakes.
Early on the tempo of the game was set, as Civil Service were unable to match the strength of Newry’s pack, some strong tackles by the back row Declan Tolan and Paul Haughey while the front row partnership of Colin Stewert, Timmy Andrews and Darren McNally pressurised every scrum and break down.
