First half try blitz secures first win of the season.
Two first half trys in as many minutes were enough to guide Armoy to their first win of the season. However this win could be more attributed to some very stout work in defence in a match that saw the Lime Park men spend long periods of the match camped deep inside their own half.
From the kick off the home team had Armoy on the backfoot. Yet despite this pressure the men from Lime Park held firm only conceding 3 points from a penalty in the opening 15 minute barrage.
It was now Armoys turn to apply some pressure of their own, a penalty was kicked into the corner and from the resultant line out the Armoy forwards found themselves 1 meter from the PSNI try line. The PSNI defence held firm repelling both Mickey McGaughey and Neil Porterfield respectively.
