After a long season of positives for all at Antrim RFC, the club held their end of season awards ceremony at sponsors, Redz Piano Bar and Grill at Junction One. Antrim RFC welcomed back Ulster Rugby prop, Richard Lutton to the club to present the awards with local referee and Randalstown man Mark Hermin and Club President Richard Cullen. Lutton was proud to return to the club where he started his career in the minis section and received a warm welcome from all in attendance, as he reminisced with a few old faces. Lutton spoke for almost an hour about his career path to date, and shared some great insight into his current regime as well as some hilarious tales about his current team mates.
Lutton also went on to present the club with his first ever Ireland jersey from last summer’s Tblisi Cup, to be put on display. It was an unselfish gesture as the jersey would certainly have high sentimental value for the player. The club were truly thankful for Richard’s contribution to the club and to the awards and wished him all the best for his future career.
