I XV Close call at Cooke by Roger Corbett
Bangor travelled to Shaws Bridge for their final league fixture of the season and came up against a determined Cooke side who came close to causing an upset, but Bangor just held on to win by 21-22.Although Bangor were sitting securely in 3rd place in the league, Cooke looking for points to move them into a safer position, and this became evident as they took the game to Bangor straight from their kick-off. Within 5 minutes they were rewarded with a penalty straight in front of Bangor’s posts, which was duly converted giving them the lead by 3-0.Bangor’s reply was quick, and within 4 minutes had won a penalty for themselves which Neil Cuthbertson successfully kicked, levelling the scores at 3-3. for the match shots and full report follow this link http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/bangorrfc/
