The International Rugby Board (IRB) is delighted to announce leading sports entertainment media organisation, Engage Sports Media, as Official Production and Distribution Partner of the inaugural IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition taking place in Dublin on 18-19 November 2013.

Engage will produce footage from the two-day conference and exhibition in addition to the event’s social activities, including The Rugby Business Network Evening with Rob Kearney, the recently announced Webb Ellis Cup handover ceremony from Rugby World Cup 2011 winners New Zealand to the IRB and 11 inductions into the IRB Hall of Fame. The company will also produce a daily highlights package available to view via the IRB YouTube channel and distributed to digital platforms and more than 20 premium broadcast newsrooms around the world.

IRB Head of Communications, Dominic Rumbles, said: “Over the next four years Rugby has an incredible opportunity to build a truly worldwide following. The IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition is a stepping stone in helping us to realise the potential of the sport by bringing all stakeholders of the Game together, creating partnerships and relationships which ultimately will help grow the global Rugby family and drive the sport forwards.”

“Engage will play a key role in helping the IRB to communicate how we are working with the global Rugby family to build the Game via their excellent production and distribution services during the event.”

Gregg Oldfield, CEO, Engage Sports Media, added: “We are delighted to work with the IRB on this inaugural event and to widen our relationship with Rugby stakeholders to engage more fans worldwide in the global Game over the coming years.”

Engage, whose clients include The Football Association, Football League, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and many more sports rights holders and brands across Rugby, football and cricket, also work with the IRB to produce their weekly TV and radio magazine shows. Total Rugby covers a range of content, from competitions such as Rugby World Cup, HSBC Sevens World Series and IRB Junior World Championship to regular behind-the-scenes features and interviews.
