The Rugby Club have been asked to facilitate the running of the Prehen Campsite with professional security supplied from Wednesday 14th to Monday 19th August 2013. The profit after expenses along with revenue from food outlets onsite will go to CDRFC.
In addition City of Derry RFC will provide a Caravan Site at Judges Road which will have to be covered from Sunday 11th to Monday 19th August 2013. This will be used by some of our regular caravan visitors and Ceoltas families participating in Music Schools all week and Competitions later in the week. We have already had bookings for the week. The occupants will use all our facilities including the Bar and Food outlets supplied by CDRFC. The profit with very little overheads will go to the Rugby Club.
We have also been offered the running of the Caravan Site at Fort George which will be easily managed but we are waiting final confirmation from the Fleadh Committee that it is going to be a designated site.
Derry City Council will be providing Steward Training for these events. Details to follow.
City of Derry Rugby Club is seeking a commitment from all Club Members, Playing and Non Playing, to give of their time over that week in August. We will need members to steward these sites on an 8hr shift 24/7 basis. City of Derry RFC needs this financial input to continue in our commitment through rugby to develop into a community based organisation meeting the needs of all. We would like everyone who has the interest of the Club at heart to commit some of their time.
This is a General Committee led initiative that provides an excellent opportunity to consolidate and continue the successful Club we are developing at all levels. It is down to you our Club Members to help with this initiative. We cannot proceed if we do not get enough volunteers. If you have any queries please contact; Ian Crowe, Scott Pollock or Moss Dineen.
